Directions
Pack: Make sure items are
completely dry before you pack them for long-term storage; wet items
such as bathing suits may be packed for travel after excess water has
been removed. Do not overstuff bag. Keep items below the fill-line,
which is approximately three inches from the zipper.
Seal: Move Sure-Zip slider
to one end of zipper and back again.
Remove The Air: For smaller
bags, start with zipper end and roll towards the bottom, expelling air
through the one-way valve and flattening compressible items. For larger
bags, insert the hose attachment from a household or shop vacuum
cleaner into the circular valve to remove the appropriate amount of
air.
To reopen, simply pull zipper gently apart at the
center.
Zipper can open with rough handling; to ensue that the
zipper remains closed, do not hold or carry a sealed bag near the
zipper. Hold sealed bag vertically near the middle with zipper up.
Store bag vertically or flat. Items filled with down and feathers can
be vacuum-sealed, but compressing them more than about 50% may damage
feathers and reduce their insulating
ability.
Warnings
Plastic can suffocate. Keep
out of reach of children. Do not use to store food, leather or items
with animal fur. Never puncture the bag. Avoid storing bag near sharp
objects, heat sources or in temperatures above 100 degrees F. If you
have any questions about the possible effects of vacuum storage on
specific items, consult the manufacturer of that item.
